A delegation from Malaysia’s Management and Science University (MSU) visited Hefei University (HFU) on October 13. Ren Yong, President of HFU, met with the delegation.
During the meeting, Ren outlined HFU’s development and achievements in international education. He noted, the University began its international cooperation with Germany in 1985 and has since established partnerships with 76 universities across 21 countries and regions.
In 2025, HFU received approval to establish its International College as a Sino-foreign cooperative education institution—the first at HFU and the second in Anhui Province. The College offers three undergraduate programs: Vehicle Engineering, Information and Computing Science, and Logistics Management. Through its Volkswagen College and Continental College, HFU has continued to strengthen talent development in new energy vehicles and intelligent manufacturing, promoting closer education-industry integration.
The MSU delegation also introduced their university’s development and academic strengths. Founded in 1982, MSU is a major private university in Malaysia with a focus on applied education and entrepreneurship. It has established strengths in business administration, computer science, medicine and engineering, with a diverse international student population and strong graduate employment outcomes. The delegation expressed interest in expanding cooperation with Chinese universities, particularly through 2+2 joint degree programs, collaborative development of engineering programs, and opportunities for Malaysian students to study in China.
The two sides exchanged views on Sino-foreign cooperative education, talent development in new energy vehicles and intelligent manufacturing, and joint programs for international students.
